The english version of this cover page does not match exactly with the italian version, as it could be difficult to make short a long story that is about to grant in Italy a European Directive relevant to the guns. As you can easily understand, it is another opportunity for the "no-gun" party to propose changes to the legislation that further cut down the rights of gun owners and users. And I would like to thank Simone Ciucchi and the lawyer Silvia Gentile (www.fisat.us) also in front of a more wide audience for the FISAT Campaign launched to make us aware of the risk, react, and involve those representatives that do not necessarily feel the need to see a gun owner as an outlaw. Let's talk of "Ex Ordinanza". The last update (August) was also about the DeLisle Silenced Carbine that is inside the Museum of Modern Guns of the Republic of San Marino: as the gun is quite different from the usual description of these carbines, I received several questions about its origin, and the answer will be the subject of a next update. On
the last update there were also: The currents updates are relevant to: - the Krag carbine for Danish Artillery, thanks to Wittwer; - the LF58 carbine and the LF59 automatic rifle, inside the "Reprints" section, where two articles that date back to 1971, written by Dr. Venturoli, describe those unlucky weapons from "Luigi Franchi" firm; - the Carcano Arisaka Type I; another tile has been added to the jigsaw puzzle thanks to the help of an US collector (thank you Roy!); - the CZ52 pistol, with a copy of the patent granted to Edward Stecke, some comments written by me, and the manual of the gun. In the end, Vittorio Serra, the author of the article relevant to the Carcano 1867, that is already the owner of an interesting personal website, has just started a website to talk about black powder and muzzle loaders. Thank you for your kind attention!
