Disclaimer
As you can see, this is not a commercial website and, obviously, it's a non-profit site. I do not sell rifles, I am only a collector.
Then, this is an italian site, written by italian collectors and enthusiasts, and it is and it will remain only in italian. All we are proud to be italian!
I think, and I often repeat it, that this is NOT MY website, this is the website of every italian-speaking collector. I think that this is the only non-profit italian website related to any kind of milsurplus rifle. There are a pair of other non commercial italian websites, but they are devoted to one single kind of rifle, like Carcanos or AK 47. They are very good websites, but my idea of milsurplus firearms collecting is a bit different... every milsurplus firearm, I think, is "collectible".
Obviously... I have my personal idea about my "wish list"... I love desperately Mosin Nagant rifles, and 20th century french rifles.
Many italian collectors don't speak english, or french, or german... so I tried to collect some infos from books or websites and I translated them into italian, to permit also to italian-only-speaking collectors to share infos about collecting milsurplus firearms.
Please consider that collecting milsurplus firearms is not so easy in Italy... every rifle or handgun must be certified (this started in the year 1980) by an organization called "Banco di Prova Nazionale", and before importing a new kind of rifle or handgun, the importer must ask a permission to the Ministry, and this procedure takes many months (and much money!), and very often the Ministry does not authorize to import that kind of firearm.
So... you can't see in Italy some rifles that you see in other countries, like the Spanish Cetme rifle, or the italian Beretta BM 59 rifle. Do you remember the semi-authomatic rifle Beretta BM 62? Well... the collectors who bought it before 1980 can detect it, but the Ministry never authorize to import it, so if you are italian and you buy a Beretta BM 62 in Germany, you cannot import it in Italy.
And now... let's speak about the copyright... when I began to build this website, some months ago, I was working very far from my home. I had a pair of CD-rom with some infos collected in some years, looking in the milsurplus-related websites of all the world, I had with me about twenty books about milsurplus rifles (only one in italian... because there is ONLY one book in italian strictly about milsurplus rifle collecting!)... and I had my laptop computer.
So... I began to write the website and sometimes I found very interesting pages that I translated into italian, but I did not know who wrote them, if they were copyrighted or free... in some cases I found the same data in different pages taken from different websites.
In these cases, I ever wrote at the beginning of the page, in italian, that the page was not my job, but I only translated it into italian and when I had the original web address, I put the link on the page, indicating the language of the original website (so, if the original page was in german, and the visitor of my site spoke german, he could visit the original website).
Where I found an email address, I asked to the author the permission to publish the translated (or original, in some cases) page.
So, if you find in my site a page that you wrote, please feel free to write to me asking what you prefer:
- I can totally delete the page
- I can delete the page indicating only the original link where to find the original page
- I can add to the page the credit to the author and indicate the link of the original page, adding some infos of your interest.
As a personal opinion, I think that copyright, between collectors, does not permit to share the knowledge, and... it is not good. But it's only my humble opinion.
So, I will continue to ask the permission to translate and publish the pages that I find on other websites (where I find the email address where to ask the permission).
But if you find in www.exordinanza.net something that you like and you do not speak italian, please translate it in your language, and if you see that the text is written by Absolut (that's me), or the images are those of a firearm in my private collection, please feel free to use them as you prefer without asking any kind of permission, publishing it in your non-commercial website or, in case of texts, if you prefer, translating them in the language that you prefer. I only ask to put a credit to www.exordinanza.net, because if someone of your website visitor wants to add a comment about the text or about one of my rifles, he can freely write to me, so I can maintain updated the italian site.
If you want to contact me, you can freely email to me.
